About me
Experience
My name is Philimon Serbetsoglou and I am a science teacher with 6 years of teaching experience and over 10 years of tutoring experience. I have taught at an English state school for two years and at a private British International school in Spain for 4 years. As a result, I will be able to support you both in the UK curriculum (GCSE, A level) and the IB curriculum.
Education
I got my masters in chemistry (MChem) degree at the University of Durham and teacher certification (PGCE) at UCL. I am an IB graduate myself achieving 42 points in 2011, with a 7 in HL chemistry, a 7 in HL physics and a 6 in HL mathematics. Having experienced the IB both as a teacher and as a student I will be able to support you in all aspects of the program.
Languages
Having lived in Greece, The Netherlands, England, Spain and Sweden I have a truly international mindset and look forward to working with students from all over the world. I can also support you in your mother tongue, as I speak Greek, English, Spanish and some Dutch (learning Swedish now).
